Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show 2003
Autumn lived up to its reputation with clear sunny days and crisp mornings at this year’s Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show – April 2-6. For the first time ever, the GARSY® vertical garden system was shown in its full glory to over 120,000 industry and home gardener visitors to the show and the response was sensational. Heralded as ‘the biggest innovation in gardening since dirt’, the GARSY® vertical garden planters attracted attention from thousands of people who were amazed at the clever concept!
Oasis Horticulture, a national seedling grower, used 9 of the medium sized round model (RM160) for their exhibit this year. Their GARSY® vertical garden towers featured a wonderful spreading petunia in 8 different colours. Part of the impact was that they were all brought in fully flowering and installed into the exhibition in a matter of hours. Visitors to the show enjoyed picnics between the massed floral forms.
edenNOW, the sole Australian and New Zealand distributor for the GARSY® vertical garden system, had it’s own exhibit where several vertical garden models were displayed empty and 2 were planted up, one with herbs and one with a dwarf Banksia from Proteaflora Nursery called ‘Birthday Candles’
